Jenette Jurczyk is The National Director of The She Said Project, where she produces live storytelling events called “That’s What She Said.”

Jenette uses her background in theatre to coach real women through the vulnerable process of developing and performing personal stories.

Under Jenette’s vision, “That’s What She Said” has expanded beyond its flagship community of Champaign-Urbana into more than a dozen cities. Jenette is also the producer and co-host of The She Said Project Podcast and created the youth empowerment program, “That’s What Teens Say.” Through her company, Key Light Consulting, Jenette is a nationally recognized motivational speaker and trainer.

She has a BFA and MBA from the University of Illinois and worked in New York and Los Angeles as a performer, director, and producer, before building a life in Champaign with her rocket scientist husband and 2 young daughters.
She is an avid volunteer and has served on numerous boards. She serves as President of The Family Room, the nonprofit she co-founded to provide resources and comfort to foster children and families in her community.

In 2024, Jenette was recognized as Nexstar Media Group’s “Remarkable Woman” from Champaign-Urbana, and shared her story onstage in TEDx Normal.

JENETTE JURCZYK PROGRAMS & TOPICS

Yes, And...

In this presentation, Jenette uses the fundamentals of improvisational theatre to show you how to create an environment of “Yes”! When you give yourself permission to say “Yes,” you create open lines of communication, you open the door to more opportunities and you set yourself up for positive experiences.

Finding Your Key Light

Whether you are speaking to a single client or a room of hundreds, you are performing. Jenette will share her memorable “Six P’s” full of tools and techniques performers use to overcome nerves and speak with confidence. Be better prepared for your next interview, team meeting or presentation, by finding your “Key Light.”

The Stories We Tell

As National Director of The She Said Project, Jenette works with dozens of women each year, helping them craft their personal stories to share from the stage. What do our personal stories tell about us and how we operate in the world? What is the story we intentionally put out there for others to see? And how do we want our stories that are not yet written to unfold?

Creative Communication - with Improv! (Interactive Workshop)

This interactive workshop uses theatre techniques and improv games to engage participants in overcoming nerves and building confidence in any presentation or performance setting. Learn tools for team building, networking, breaking out of your comfort zone, and commanding your audience!

Key Messaging for your Business or Organization (Interactive Workshop)

When representing an organization or a brand, it is imperative that you have a clear, concise message that you communicate with poise and confidence. Similar to an “elevator pitch”, your Key Message allows you to set the framework for discussing your organization, your project or your brand. Participants will engage with developing, writing and reciting their Key Message.
