Where Are They Speaking Next? An Update on Our 2026 CCSB Showcase Speakers
Every other year, the Capitol City Speakers Bureau Showcase brings together meeting planners from across the Midwest to preview new, up-and-coming, and seasoned keynote speakers…all in one place, in a single day.
For many years, our Showcase was known as a true “booking event.” Planners would attend, narrow their list, and many would make speaker decisions within days or weeks after the event concluded.
That still happens. But today’s buying cycle looks much different than it did even ten years ago when I began in this industry.
Many planners now attend to discover new talent, gather ideas for future conferences, and invest in their own professional development. Instead of booking speakers immediately, they’re building relationships and keeping names in mind for meetings that may be 6, 12, or even 18 months away. That’s exactly what we’ve continued to see following our most recent Showcase.
We’re excited to share where several of our Showcase speakers have been selected to speak since taking the stage in Springfield, Illinois this February.
